April 12th, 2016 • West Palm Beach, FL -- Palm Beach SCORE is a 2016 recipient of a Bank of America Workforce and Development Foundation grant for non-profits for the third year in a row. SCORE Chapter Chair Penny Pompei (R) and Vice-Chair Irene Dec (L) accept the $2,500 grant check from Bank of America / Merrill Lynch’s Ted Perolakis at their "Power & Grace" event celebrating women entrepreneurs and executives at the Palm Beach Convention Center Hilton on April 12th.
The SCORE chapter will use the funds to continue its financial education, business training and development of certification programs for small business owners. Palm Beach SCORE chapter has more than 60 volunteer mentors that counsel 1,200+ clients every year, helping to start more than 300 new local businesses and creating over 500 new jobs in Palm Beach County!
